Simultaneous VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF Reception
The IC-2730E provides simultaneous VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF reception as well as VHF/UHF reception capabilities. The main dial, volume, squelch knob, and main buttons are arranged symmetrically for each band.
Optional VS-3 Bluetooth® Headset
Wirelessly control the IC-2730E with three programmable buttons and a PTT button. The headset also provides VOX operation for hands-free communication.
Large LCD with Easy-to-See White Backlight
The IC-2730E’s display is 1.5 times larger than its predecessor, the IC-2725E. The frequency and channel name displays are larger, and the white backlight provides higher contrast.
Easy Controller Installation with Optional MBF-1
The combination of the optional MBF-1 suction cup mounting base and MBA-5 controller bracket provides easy tilt and swivel adjustment. The large suction cup can be mounted on flat surfaces and can be easily removed.
50W output on VHF and UHF
The IC-2730E uses a durable PA module and delivers a high operating power of 50 watts on the VHF and UHF bands.
Built-in 50 CTCSS and 104 DTCS tones with Split Tone Function
Built-in CTCSS and DTCS tones for silent standby and repeater access. The split tone function allows you to set CTCSS/DTCS tones separately for the repeater uplink and downlink on a per-channel basis.
Mounting the Controller to the Main Unit with the Optional MBA-4
With the optional MBA-4 combination bracket, the controller can be mounted to the main unit. Microphone jacks are installed on both the controller and the main unit.

Optional Active Noise-Canceling Microphone
The HM-209’s optional active noise-canceling microphone can automatically reduce noise in very noisy environments and assist in transmitting clear, accurate audio.
